- Enter
your
ten
digit
phone
number
followed
by
“911."
Example
1:
303-555-6123
with
“911”
looks
like
“303-555-6123-911”
on
the
pager.
It
is
easy
to
recognize
as
a
“911”
call.
Example
2:
555-6123
with
“911”
looks
like
555-612-3911
on
the
pager.
It
is
easy
to
assume
that
this
is
a
phone
number,
not
a
“911”
call.
- After
calling,
keep
your
phone
line
available!
It’s
very
frustrating
to
answer
a
“911”
at
2:00
a.m.,
only
to
find
that
the
line
is
busy.
The
volunteer
making
the
call
can’t
go
back
to
bed,
and
must
continue
trying
until
the
call
is
completed.
- If
you
don’t
get
a
call
back
immediately,
repeat
the
page
every
5
minutes
until
you
do.
- If
you
called
during
the
day
and
didn’t
take
the
advice
given
at
that
time,
please
don’t
call
again
in
the
middle
of
the
night.
