The Colorado House Rabbit Society is licensed by the national House Rabbit Society. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers. There are no paid positions. Every penny of all donations goes to helping the rabbits. We have two purposes: rescue and education.
We work with animal shelters, taking rabbits who would otherwise be humanely killed, if we have space in our foster homes. We also accept rabbits from individuals facing death or who have died, when there are no family members to take in the rabbits. More...
We educate potential adopters so they know what to expect of rabbits and can determine whether they are suitable for their family. We have written materials to educate people about rabbits. More...

The Colorado House Rabbit Society's main branch is located near Denver. The Northeastern satellite located in Loveland serves the Northeastern areas of Colorado. We have adoptable rabbits and information on our site.

Our Satellite carries Oxbow supplies, toys, litter, gifts for bunnies, and bunny gifts for people. We can bring other supplies from Broomfield as needed. See our price list for pick-up points near you.
Help support your local rescue; buy supplies from the Northeastern Satellite.
We offer classes teaching how to safely handle rabbits, do basic grooming (clipping nails, cleaning scent pockets, etc.), and catch problems before they are major. The class is free to anyone who has adopted a rabbit from any shelter. Call Debby Schmidt at 970-690-0292 or email debbysch@quixnet.net for Greeley Tune-up class schedule.
